It sits on high ground and was a watering hole for Spanish Mariners who filled their kegs from the artesian wells that used to bubble up from the ground. It also has a one acre minimum for all 200 homesites, most of which are on golf homesites or the navigable water.

Spanish Wells juts out into the Calibogue Sound is bordered on the opposite side by the deepwater Broad Creek offering a lucky few property owners a unique water panorama where you get a sunrise view in the morning and a sunset view in the afternoon, both of which are often more than spectacular.
The Spanish Wells Club manages the amenities of the neighborhood, but membership is optional. A sense of family is strong as the small clubhouse, which hosts a private 9 hole golf course, tennis facility, and pool, is more of a meeting place for friends. There are Spanish Moss and Moonbeams galore in Spanish Wells and some of it could be just what your family has been looking for.
Spanish Wells has a nine hole, par 36 golf course golf course designed by George Cobb with separate tee boxes so as to make it an 18 hole experience.
